Tim practices Intellectual Property Law with expertise in patents relating to mechanical, electrical and computer systems. His focus includes science and technology law, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and patents.
Tim was admitted to practice in the state of Oregon in 1974, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 1978. He is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association and the Oregon Patent Law Association. From 1973 to 1998 Tim served as assistant general counsel and patent counsel for NACCO Materials Handling Group Inc. (formerly Hyster Company).
Tim earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Lewis and Clark College Northwestern School of Law, Portland, Oregon, in 1974. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Portland State University in 1998, and in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho in 1968.
Tim began his career as a design engineer for Hyster Company.
