Supreme Court Reins-In Patent Venue

In TC Heartland LLC v. Kraft Foods Group Brands LLC, the Supreme Court has significantly shifted the balance away from the geographically fringe Eastern District of Texas – holding that the residence requirement of 28 U.S.C. § 1400(b) refers only to a defendant’s State of Incorporation for patent infringement venue purposes.

Chernoff Vilhauer is pleased to have sponsored the Reigning Roses Walk on Mother's Day, May 14, 2017.

 

The event benefits Rose Haven, a day shelter and community center in Portland serving women and children who are experiencing the trauma of abuse, loss of home, and other disruptive life challenges.

 

The Reigning Roses Walk is a beautiful route through Northwest Portland and will start and finish at Castaway Portland.
